Many Many Pages & Images
Trying to convert an 80 page PDF (newspaper) where each pdf page is an image to an epub document.
It runs through Calibre OK, but when we open the epub in Google Books the document is 223 pages long and every individual image has been extracted. The cover page looks OK. We have no idea what is happening. |

Use OCR software like ABBYY Finereader or the free tesseract engine to turn those images into words. Or live with the images.
PDF is a horrible input format, mostly because of all those images.  There is little anything can do.
