Mistake in resolution on Kobo website
Kobo's websites says that the H2O's resolution is 1430x1080 at 265 dpi. That's not possible as 1430x1080 is 264 dpi and it's not the same resolution as the Kindle Voyage. So the only way to have the same resolution as the Voyage is for there to be a mistake in the resolution on the Kobo website. It has to be 1440x1080 in order to be the same as the Voyage and be 265 dpi.

Isn't the Voyage 300 DPI? A to the 264 or 265, I'm willing to let them be one point off. And I'm far to lazy to go and check the calculations.

Note the Glo and Aura are 1024x758 resolution so having odd resolutions is nothing new for eInk. Using the site you mentioned, a 1430x1080, 6.76" diagonal screen is 265 dpi. |

OT; it is a matter of the resolution of decimal places. 6.76" = 6.8" 6.74" = 6.7"
6.76" would not = 6.80" Luck; Ken |

At a resolution of 1080x1429 with a screen size of 6.77" does equal 265 dpi.

The display has 1440x1080, the top 10 pixels are under the bezel, leaving you effectively 1430x1080.
It's odd but for some reason it's common for eink displays to be missing 10 pixels somewhere, it's the same with all x758 instead of 768 displays too.. |
