I need to add a chapter to a book on Calibre

Is it possible to add another chapter to a book on Calibre? I'd rather not save it to my computer to edit it to then have to upload the new version to Cailbre. Thanks!

@Wanttobeanauthor - what format is the book - if its EPUB or AZW3 you can use the editor.

If you've not used the editor (even if you have) I suggest you have a safe copy of the book somewhere (save to disk). Its easy to make a mistake when editing. To use the editor make the book current in book list and press 'T'.

How can it be in Calibre if it is not on your computer

What is wrong with Using the Caliber Calibre Editor?
Add file or Copy and paste (code view)
The new chapter needs to be:
Using the same style classes as the original (existing) sections
or
You will need to adjust (edit the class=) to match

(you will probably need to edit various chapter numbers if the new 'chapter' is numbered in the middle)

Not working in code view open way too mny styiling issues

I have used the editor and it was very user friendly. The final version of my book is currently on Calibre as that is where the editing has been done. My problem is I decided to add more content after uploading my book. The version I have on my computer is minus all edits and I am having a difficult time figuring out how to add the additional chapter through the edit option on Calibre. Also, every format I have attempted to save back to my computer in order to have the final Calibre version available to edit will not open. I am quite computer literate although I admit I am very sleep deprived so this task that should be simple is getting the better of me.

Go and have some sleep and then tell us in what form you have the additional chapter - plain text, a word processing format, html ?
