Portrait vs Landscape Mode

Which one do you prefer to read in?

Dual column landscape on anything above 5in.

I always preferred landscape on my old COO-LER, Unfortunately my original Kobo and Nook ST do not support landscape.

I prefer landscape while using my kindle basic mostly because it's more comfortable to hold the ereader that way.

Portrait, Just like a real book

I end up with about the same words per line on my devices as were printed in their paper version

Dual column landscape on my Fire HDX 8.9. To me, that feels more like a 'real' book.

The relatively small e-ink screen always used to bug me before I made the switch.

Portrait for reading, (more text per page ) landscape for web use, mostly.

Portrait for reading, with about 60 characters to a line. For images/maps, whatever zoom and rotation makes sense.

I recently got a new Kindle, and have been reading in in landscape mode because it's easier for me to hold it in two hands while in landscape mode. However, that's mainly because I don't yet have a case, and without a case, holding it in one hand is a bit clumsy/uncomfortable for me. Once I get a case and can do one-handed holding again, I might very well go back to portrait (which I did on my Nook out of necessity). I suppose it depends on which way is easier to hold with a case.

Always portrait just like paper books, landscape mode is heresy and I will never read a book in landscape mode just as I would never watch a movie in portrait mode

Portrait except for PDF's which are much easier to read in landscape mode on Sony readers.

If *.pdf may want landscape to see full width big enough. I can turn *.pdf on Kobo Touch. + I've 2 others I can turn; 1= *.txt, &1= *.htm that I made. Why = this?
