Pirate Hunter by Tom Morissey is his standalone historical/modern adventure/treasure hunt thriller, whose parallel story follows the escapades of a 16th century slave freed by his pirate captor and a 21st century salvage operation for the ensuing booty, free courtesy of Christian publisher Baker's Bethany House imprint.

Technically, this has previously been offered free in mid-2014, but it doesn't seem to have gotten mentioned on MR at the time, so I'm just going to treat it as a new freebie for the purposes of the daily thread count, since it sounds kind of cool and it's got marine archaeologists in it.
