Kobo Mini memory full

I want to synchronize my Kobo Mini via Wi-Fi, but I keep getting a message that the memory is full.

I do not wish to manage this particular device with Calibre; I want to synch it with my Kobo account over Wi-Fi, downloading some of my Kobo-purchased Kobo Kepubs.

But I now own more Kobo Kepubs than will fit in the Kobo Mini's memory. Is there a way to tell the Mini to permanently ignorne synching certain books? I have a few giant ones (including one that's over 120 MB) that are heavily illustrated paleontology texts bought from Kobo; the device keeps trying to synch those, then crapping out because its memory is full.

Thanks!

One approach is to delete the books from the Kobo Library via the Web. From the My Library view select the books you don't want and then delete them.

It removes them from the "active" library but leaves them in the tab labeled Trash. You can restore them from the trash at a later time.

I also think that on the device, if you go to Library view, when you long tap on a book you have hte option to Remove a book. If you then select to just remove it from the eReader it will still be on your account.

You can open your. Mini remove internal uSD Card. Copy image from old internal uSD card then write that image to new larger uSD card. Expand the partition to fill the new uSD card. Install new uSD card and put everything you Mini back together. My Mini came with 2 gig internal uSD card and I installed 4 gig uSD card. Many Minis have 4 gig card partitioned as 2 gig from factory and many people have installed up to 32 gig uSD card.

It is nice to have options.

is this also possible on other devices like the Glo? what tools to use for image copying? i assume that since it's an image it would boot up exactly as before with all settings and books on it, no need to update.

See Memory Upgrade Mod Guide (With Pictures)

Same technique will work on ANY Kobo eReader with internal SD card (ie, not the original Touch or the Aura).

PeterT's suggestion should work. But, you should also be able to do it on the device. The library list should show the list of known kepubs with an indication of whether they are on the device, on the server or waiting to download. The books waiting to download should have "Pending" as the status. If you tap that book, it will prompt you to cancel the download. That will leave the book in the library list, but won't download it unless you tap it.

If the book is already on the device, then long press on it and select "Remove". On the prompt, "eReader" will be checked and "Kobo account" won't be. Pressing remove will delete the file but leave it in the list like above.

I'm looking at my non-glowing Glo for the above. The Mini with the latest firmware that has been released for it should be the same, but the exact wording or positioning of things might be different.
