Exclamation Moonreader Does Not Open Books

When I click on a book in CC and choose Read, it takes me to Moonreader but does not open the book.

I have the CC and Moonreader on my SD card. I tried moving both apps back to my device storage, and it still will not open the books. Is it because they are pointing to a different directory? I have CC on the path it fixed for the SD card and Moonreader on its own directory.
When I tried moving the books in CC to the directory where Moonreader books are located it brings up a message stating that the books cannot be moved because "cannot find file to move"

I have been trying to get CC and Moonreader to work for days! I can't believe all the problems I have been having with synchronizing CC and Moonreader

Can someone please help or suggest what to do???

Many people have CC storing on an SD card and use moon+, so it seems that it is something in your installation. There is zero need for moon+ and CC to share the same folder if all you are doing is trying to read books using moon+.

First, what do you mean by "will not open the books". Are you saying that if you use CC's 'read' command then moon+ fails? This is not what other people see and is not expected behavior.

Or are you saying that moon+ will not add the books to its library? This is perfectly normal for the reasons I referred to in your last post about this. There is *no way* to make moon+ be able to import books from a CC library folder on an SD card, and there is no way to make CC be able to write to the moon+ folder on the SD card.

I suggest the following:

1) Uninstall and re-install moon+. Do not change its paths or folders. After the re-install, do not use the moon+ library features. Instead use CC's 'read' to open the book in moon+. My guess is that the book will open. It does for lots of other people.

2) If the above does not work then send me a CC debug log, which might tell me what is going on. Remove the multipie.co.uk email address because there is no need to get my son involved.

I find that if moonreader has been updated then openning a book from cc results in Mr just displaying the what's new.

Yes, it does this once per update for me, and I do find it annoying. However, recovering is easy enought. Dismiss the dialog, go to CC and "read" the book again.

Chaley already answered your questions. I just want to say quit trying to sync CC and Moonreader there is no point to this. Use CC to navigate and open the book you want to read. I use Moon+ Reader Pro exclusively with CC and have never had any issue except that pointed out by PeterT.

Of course since using CC (over 2 years now) I have never imported any books into Moon+ Reader. There is no advantage to using Moon+ Reader in this way.
