Library books and Aura H2O

My first post here so please be patient if its in the wrong spot, I will do better....I have just bought the Kobo Forma, so far I kinda like it. Time will tell if it truly will replace my Aura H2O. I am giving the Aura to one of my grandchildren, she is 8 and a precocious reader. Of course she goes to the library, nothing can replace a real book or the library experience in my opinion but to encourage and help her I’m going to see if a Kobo will enhance her reading, it has enhanced my experience. I can get library books for the Forma with Overdrive but its not supported on the H2O from what I can see. So, the question, will she be able to download books using some way other than Overdive. If this has been discussed already I apologize. Thanks for your help.

Overdrive support was first released on the Aura ONE and has been added to all devices released since then. So, the Aura H2O Edition 2 will have support but might need a firmware update. The original Aura H2O will not have support.

If you have multiple Kobo devices using the same Kobo account, they all receive the same books from the Kobo store. That means if you connect one to a library through OD, all the devices can download books borrowed from that library. And it doesn't matter whether the books are borrowed through the device or through OD. Whether that is suitable for your case will depend on how similar your reading tastes are.

Other than that, as @geek1011 said, the books can be borrow via OD and downloaded and added to the device using Adobe Digital Editions.
