Onyx C67 Ml same as Afterglow2

Hi all,

Does anyone know if the Afterglow2 is the same unit as the ONYX BOOX C67ML 4G Upgraded Version under a different name
I am awaiting mine from China, I cannot buy it from Amazon ("not available in Australia from this seller" is the message I get), and I am trying to source a cover for it.

The AfterGlow 2 has Google Play Store pre-installed; the C67 doesn't. That's the main difference. The AfterGlow 2 also has IVONA TTS and a couple of other things pre-installed. If you want Play Store on the C67, you'll have to root your device first. You can sideload apps onto the C67 without rooting. Besides these things, the two are essentially the same device, as far as I can see.

Apart from that my understanding that the upgraded version C67ML with Android 4.22 has google play, nevertheless that is inconsequential, as I want it for reading both AZW and ePub without converting all the time, I buy most of my books from Amazon, yet read them on the Kobo.

Amazon may have a cover for it. You could order one from the Arta Tech site (Poland) as well (onyx-boox.com). The C67ML should be able to run the Kindle app with no problems. I checked out the Banggood web site (did you order from there?) and there was no reference to Play Store. But, if the C67 does have it, so much the better!

I have the T68, which is a little larger (6.8 in, screen) and runs Android 4.0.4. I also have the Boyue T62, which has the same size screen as the C67 and runs Android 4.2.2.
