Including other libraries?

Is it possible to include an extra library in the opt/amazon/ebook folder, or modify one of those JARs to include another library for a kindlet?

If you are jailbroken, you can. Full root access. Best is to NOT modify the root filesystem, but rather use "mount --bind" from your directory of files on top of the system directory.

Is this what you are asking? If you modify your root filesytem, it won't be very portable and an upgrade could easily wipe it out.

Good luck!

Well, I'm trying to circumvent the inability of kindlets to use external libraries by hardcoding the library into the kindle's built in libs.
My practical usage would be adding a Spotify API into the kindle-2.1.jar library so that an application can use the API.

Q: What is the purpose of MKK (the Kindlet Jailbreak) ?
- - - - -
I don't Java, but it seems to me that one of the purposes was to escape the sandbox restrictions (such as not accessing external libraries).

Q: How do the other Kindlet applications handle using external libraries?
- - - - - -
There must be more than one example within the existing applications.
Even if you ignore JBPatch internals. JBPatch is a bit extreme in its penetration of the java libraries.
