Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 NOOK -Black Friday Specials

Has anyone heard if there will be any OnLine or In-Store specials on Black Friday for the Samsung Galaxy Tab 4 NOOK ? I love my Nook HD, so much, am never without it, but would upgrade for a camera. I bought it last year on the $79 Black Friday Special and would rehome it if, I could find one at a similar price with a camera..

Personally, I'd just suggest getting the exact same tablet sold without the B&N software skin (and with the B&N app from the GP appstore) for less money.

There was a BF ad for B&N that had the SGT 4 Nook on sale for $130, but that ad has since disappeared. Don't know why. Usually ads disappear because stores issue take down notices (they don't want their ads leaked too soon).

If it were me, I'd do what eschwartz suggested and get the regular version. Like he said, there are special Nook apps in the Play appstore that will get you the Nook features found on the Nook version.

So far, the best deal is from Office Depot for $150 + a free $25 Google Play Gift Card = effective price of $125. Check the BF thread for other offers.

Also, both Samsung and B&N are offering free gifts with the purchase of a Galaxy Tab. Personally, I think the Samsung freebies are much better than the $200 worth of free content you get from B&N:

You're right on the exact same for a little less. But, I opted to go with B&N instead just to support the continued existence of actual bookstores. Every time I go past a ghost of Borders I find myself thinking that I better support B&N while I can -- as well as the very, very few Indie bookstores on Long Island.

You know who killed Borders, and why, right?

I don't believe in "real" bookstores. They all exist, which is why there is a bookstore to name.
Amazon is a bookstore, Kobo is a bookstore, Google is a bookstore, Walmart is a very small bookstore, Apple is, well, isn't a bookstore

Support your local indie bookstore, let the homogenized chains like B&N wither and die, maybe.

B&N died a while back, they are now the Walmart of books. They provide no service beyond looking up and purchasing a named book, and at least Amazon ships to your door.

Indies, yes. Indies are real bookstores, in the sense of providing an immersive book experience. You can talk to the staff and they know what they are talking about.

Staples is having a $50 off sale on 25 select tablets through 26 Nov (or until out). Included in this sale is the Galaxy Tab 4 7.0 for a final price of $100. This will probably be the best deal for Black Friday and beats the $130 sale B&N will have for the Nook version on BF. See this post for details.

This is the lowest price for the Galaxy Tab 4 Nook 7.0; although, Staples just had the Galaxy Tab 4 7.0 on sale (25-26 Nov) for $100.
