Free (Kindle/Kobo/iTunes) Zom-B Circus by Darren Shan [YA Apocalyptic Adventure]
Zom-B Circus by popular YA fantasy/horror writer Darren Shan (ISFDB, Wikipedia) is a tie-in novella to his Zom-B series of YA apocalyptic action adventures featuring, you guessed it, teenagers dealing with the collapse of civilization due to zombie incursion, apparently featuring "good" zombies as the heroes, free courtesy of publisher Simon & Schuster UK.
Apparently this installment involves one of the adults in the series vs the terrifying zombified version of these --> ![]() Currently free @ Amazon UK & AU and seems to be free when I try other European country stores with one or the other ASIN, iTunes UK (also AU and other European countries I tried like Denmark), & Kobo (most likely only available to the UK, EU, and Oceania). Will likely also drop @ B&N UK in a few more days (linked for your price-drop check convenience). Unlikely to make a stop in the middle of the pond, as this series is out from a different publisher in North America. However, if you happen to have a Canadian account, #7 & #8 of the series are still free in the iTunes Canada store. Description (I cribbed the one from the North American edition, since the UK/AU one doesn't actually seem to describe the actual story, just the series in general) In this thrilling and macabre companion book to Darren Shan’s Zom-B series, Cat Ward, a teacher from B Smith's school, must run for her life on the day of the zombie apocalypse. Will her ruthless determination help her survive this plague of the undead? Someone has his eye on Cat, someone who is just as merciless as she is . . . Ferociously bold, furiously paced and deliciously horrifying, the Zom-B series is a sprawling epic that holds readers in its grip through every plot twist. * Of course, the first rule of reading sf/fantasy/horror is that Covers Always Lie™, and the second rule is that you will generally regret the ones that don't, because of the long-running tradition† for the covers to be absolutely terrible. † Proudly carried on by Baen to this very day! |
