Help updating Calibre

I've been trying, unsuccessfully, to update Calibre since 1.46 [64bit]. No matter how many times I install a new version, when I open Calibre, it still thinks I'm using 1.46.

Before I uninstall and try a fresh install, I wanted to check if this was a known issue or if anyone had any other ideas.

@QHudspeth - check to make sure you haven't got the 32bit and 64bit versions installed, which is a valid situation; but if unintended it can be confusing. Control Panel->Programs and Features, sort on Name see attachment.

@PeterT: Yes, I'm running Windows 7 (sorry I didn't think to mention that).
@BetterRed: No, I've only got "calibre 64bit" showing in Programs and Features. I believe I once had 32bit installed on this computer (recently had to redo windows and I can't recall when I switched over to 64bit. But there was a switchover -- perhaps a registry issue?)

I'll probably just uninstall/reinstall.
