Not Sure Where to Start - Help!
I have been using CC with my Nook HD+ for sometime. setting it up was no issue & there was already a folder on the device that said books so I was able to just start loading my books.
I just bought a Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 2014 (which just update to Kit Kat a few minutes ago. Last night I DL CC from the Play store & was ready to load my books. Before I did that I connected the device via USB to see if I could find a folder where the device stored books. There isn't one. The closest I could find was Documents & there are no sub folders. Right now there are no books loaded on the device. The I opened CC on the device so I could look in CC's settings to see if there was a default folder. On my Nook HD+ the settings are found in the top rt hand corner in CC. As I recall I had to set my preferences in settings before I started loading my books. On the Samsung I can't see any settings. It opens to a page where the groups are on the left & there is a large dialogue box in the center showing an image of a device with the info "To add books using the button at the top right of the screen etc..." There is no Setting listed at the top of this page so I can set or check anything. I have not DL an ereader yet but will be using Moon Reader+ as I was advised it would work well with CC. My goal is to manage my library from CC & just use Moonreader so I can open & read the books. Do I have to do DL Moonreader first & import my books into Moonreader before I can set up CC? At this point I am not sure how to proceed. I thought this would be very simple as I have done it before, but I am stumped. If someone could give me set by step directions I would REALLY appreciate it! |

There must be a button somewhere that opens an app's settings menu. Looking at images it seems that it is on the bottom, just to the left of the largish button in the center. It is an upside-down open box with two lines in it.

Thanks for your response. The link above describes what happened after I installed the paid versions CC & Moonreader+. My tablet has not been modified in any way, it is a brand new out of the box Samsung Galaxy 10.1 2014 Edition. Kitkat did install last night but that was after I installed CC. I have installed CC before on another tablet so I was aware there had to be a settings button somewhere & so I did examined all parts of the screen. CC is now installed & there is still no settings button where it should be at the right hand top of the screen. All I have are the layout button, the grouping sort button & connect. On the other device I have CC installed on settings is the button furthest to the right. In hindsight I probably should have installed Moonreader+ first as it would have created the sdcard/books file I could not find to start out with. It now seems it may be best to uninstall both apps & reinstall them. I believe the Play store gives me the option to uninstall/reinstall CC, but there is no option to uninstall Moonreader. The only options for that app are open & refund. I do not know if refund would uninstall it but it sounds like that it might result in my having to buy it again. However, it is not useable in in its current state so it does need to go. I emailed the developer of Moonreader but have heard nothing yet. What do you advise? Is there another ereader that would work better? |
