Importing libraries

Hi all,

I'm new to the forum and I have a query. I did try a search, but I didn't find anything quite what I was looking for (maybe my terminology is wrong).

Basically, I am running three portable version of calibre on my PC (not at the same time), each with it's own library to keep my books separate (Daughters, mine, etc.)...don't ask, it made sense at the time.

Having made the last update (which is a pain having to update three installs), I've realised that it's possible to have multiple libraries in a single version and switch between them (I'm sure this wasn't possible initially when I first found out about Calibre - but maybe I'm mistaken).

Anyway, to get to the actual question, is there a simple way for me to import the libraries from the two other installs (or even create a new install and import all three, just to avoid messing something up)? I don't want to merge them, I still want to be able to select "Daughter's Library" for example.

Thanks in advance and apologies if I've created a duplicate topic.

Mark

@maj3091 - Copy libraries B & C into the Library A Portable folder so you have something like this

Name:	Capture.JPG
Views:	153
Size:	20.7 KB
ID:	132150

Now start calibre portable and use the Library->Switch/Create to 'register' libraries B & C

Once your happy, and you've backed up the 3 library portable install (in my example that would be D:\_Sandpit\Calibre Portable A) then you can probably delete the original Library B and C installs.

BetterRed,

Thanks for your prompt reply.

I gave that a try with one of the other libraries and it worked a treat.

Thanks again,

Mark
