Amazon is pushing their Prime membership for the holidays.

I have Prime already, but they're showing me a different and quite nice promo! Pay 20% at checkout for any Kindle (eInk or Fire tablets) and pay the remainder in 4 equal monthly installments.

Was planning to get Mom a Kindle eInk reader for Christmas, probably going to use this and get her a Paperwhite instead of the base model. (I saw it's on sale for $49 Black Friday, but I think she'd like the Paperwhite better.)

I don't like the time payment promos; no discount involved. I'd rather have a discount and pay in full.

The Paperwhite 2 will also be on sale during BF for $20 off.

Within my household are two separate Amazon accounts. Neither has Prime.

My account owns a Kindle Keyboard and is not being offered $40 off. The other account, which has no Kindle ereader or Fire associated with it, is presented with the offer. Too bad because I was ready to jump on it for my account.

Update: When I signed back in to my Amazon account about an hour later, the $40 discount offer was there! So I will soon have a 16 GB Fire 6 delivered to my door...and now I'm a Prime member. I opted for free no-rush shipping in exchange for the $1 e-book/digital music/video credit, so it won't be in my hands until next week, but that's okay. I'm a happy camper.

Thanks for posting this offer, Fbone! I wouldn't have known about it otherwise.

I do have a Prime (which is not set to renew), and don't have a Kindle though I have a lot of ebooks through Amazon. I don't get either offer.

I have Prime which will be expiring within the month and the offer I got was $40 off the Kindle Voyage. Since I have a 2nd Gen PW I'm not interested but DH may be.

Staples may not be as crowded as Best Buy though.

There's a good chance that most of these offers will be available online. I'll be up all night next Wed monitoring which deals do. Admission for my show is one banana.
