Humorous take on the Kindle vs Sony Debate

I will try and find the exact post I believe it was a comment at the bottom of one of the numerous reviews I have read. The guy said

" I think they should take a sony and a Kindle lock them in a room together and hopefully nine months later the ebook world will have a KINNY"

I about fell at of my chair laughing, Probably because I work with a guy named Kinny and that didnt paint that greatest of a mental image for me. But let the debate rage on.

Now back to your regularly scheduled Forum!

hhhmmm... Interesting idea.

Take the Kindle, make it into the Sony form factor with the wifi and add in a detachable keyboard and voila.

I found the original post I had cleaned it up a bit. here is the link to the review as well.

I think it would solve a lot of problems if somebody just got a Kindle and a Sony drunk one night and locked them in a hotel room. Nine months later, along comes the Kinny. The Kinny would have the connectivity of the Kindle, and the sylish, space saving looks of the Sony.

Yeah, but then you have to tote the keyboard around .... and ... don't they call those things "computers."

I'll take my Kindle just the way it is. Most of the time (not all of the time ... just MOST of the time), anything that tries to be all things to everybody falls short.

With equal probability, you may get Kinny's evil twin with the looks of Kindle and lack of connectivity.
