Calibre only 'scans' attached devices to determine what to tick in the 'On Device' column.
If you let the scan complete, the next time you connect it will go faster because the files will still be there and don't need to be opened to get metadata. If you are adding to the Library, Calibre only scans the designated 'Add from' location. Don't include paths that you do not want searched |
