Problem with just one book

Hi, Wondering if anyone can help with any possible solutions to problems I have with one book, I have issues in the Android app and also the Windows App, this is the book

The Haunted by Michaelbrent Collings

I am using the download directly from kobo (kepub), but also get the same problems if I download the ebub

Android: I can read the book fine, but the table of contents is not working correctly, each chapter is just labelled htmlxx (xx is a different number for each chapter)
Windows App: I cannot read the book on this device, it opens up to the first page and shows the cover, but I cannot advance past this page, trying to go to another page just gives me a constant loading message, strangely the TOC is fine here, but I when I select a chapter it just says loading and nothing happens, tried re downloading book and also re installing app with no difference

I did try contacting customer care about it to see if it could be checked, but after the first response asking for the book details (which I had already given) I lost hope with this route

Any thoughts

Is the ePub DRM-ed? How about when you open it using Digital Editions? Are the ToC entries still the same? I'm gonna hazzard a guess that since you said this is only happening on this particular book, then the problem lies within book itself. And only Kobo can fix it.

Don't give up on customer support just yet. It takes a little patience, but you'll get through to them.

Thanks, this books is DRM free and works perfectly in Calibre, just seems to be the kobo apps that have difficulty/issues

Problem with android I can put up with as I can still read the book, but in windows it's unreadable

I don't want to use other apps to read or use the epub version because I like having all my books synced through kobo (just download epub as backup and then ignore it)

will persevere with support, they keep saying with each response from them that I can re open the issue within 10 days, so not sure if they close it down after each response and I need to keep replying to them, not had a response from my last email

I have bought 2 books since and got 2 free books also, all these are fine in both apps
