Whence after 2.9?
Kovid's being very generous in incremental Version numbering. We're up to 2.9 already. Is there really a major update just around the corner? Or will it have to be 2.91....2.99, 2.991... :-)

"2.9" is not a decimal fraction; it's simply shorthand for "major version 2, minor version 9". It will be followed by "major version 2, minor version 10".

I think Kovid should follow Apple's lead and each new version should be named after a plant. So 2.10 could be Tiger Lily and 2.11 could be Broccoli and 2.12 could be Honeycrisp Apple. See, that wouldn't lead to any confusion at all!
