E-Reader Battery Replacements

I just read a recommendation for a battery replacement site in the Amazon website's Kindle forum, and it looks like it sells replacement batteries for a variety of e-readers, tablets, GPS, smart phones and other hand-held devices. WOT rates their website as okay. I've never used them but it looks like they also include video instructions with the batteries, which is a nice touch.

I figured it might be worth a try for those of you whose e-reader's batteries have died or are on their way to doing so.

Many devices make battery replacement a task for skilled technicians with special soldering tools, and even tricks to remove the access cover.
If you have a shop that repairs Phone/Tablet screens, you could take them the battery for installation (do not expect them to stock most batteries for reader devices).
Do expect to pay a fee for the service.

You are probably luckier if your devices is e-ink as the battery gets less frequent charge cycles, therefore lasts longer.

I bought a battery from newpower for an older ipod a few years back. They post videos for all battery replacements. I've been a fan of theirs for a while now, and suggest them whenever someone is looking for an ereader battery.

Thanks for posting this! I watched the video for the Nook Simple touch and it's pretty straight forward.
