Changing country setting?

I bought a T3 from Canada via e-bay some time ago, and want to set it up for a user in Australia. Is there any way to change the country setting from Canada to Australia? Australia does not come up on the settings menu.

The T3 I bought in Australia does of course have Australia in the settings menu. I have the Sony desktop reader set up on my computer, but I'm a bit wary of using the Canadian T3 with it. Am I likely to have any problems?
