Putting Books in Kindle Using CC

Hi...I've read this thread:
https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sho...kindle+android

and tried several times to use with Wireless function of CC to place books off my PC onto my LG G2 (D801) for the Kindle app to be able to recognize it and I just can't figure it out. Whenever I try to open the book Overdrive becomes the default device. Nice enough as Overdive is, I prefer to read the books in Kindle where the rest of my library is. Can you help me figure out how to make Kindle for Android recognize the books imported with CC?

Thanks!!

There are four rules that must be followed to get Kindle for Android (K4A) to "see" books.
  1. The books must be in an amazon-supported format, such as .mobi, .azw, or .azw3.
  2. The books must be stored in one of K4A's acceptable folders. The easiest is /kindle. You set up the folders in CC's settings "Formats and folders".
  3. The books must not be in subfolders of the chosen folder.
  4. If the books are infested with Amazon's DRM then the book must have been downloaded by the device. You cannot read books that were transferred by Kindle for PC on any device unless you strip the DRM. This is caused by Amazon's choice to use different DRM encryption keys for each device.
If all of these are true, and if K4A is installed, then CC will propose K4A as a reader app and K4A will add the books to its library.

Be sure you have not sometime in the past selected the Overdrive app as the default reader app. If you might have done so, go to CC's settings, scroll to the bottom, and tap "Clear default reader apps".

Note that CC cannot make K4A actually open a book. All it can do is launch the app. You must open the book from K4A's home screen. This is a limitation imposed by Amazon.

every now and again, I ponder using my Kindle Fire as Amazon intended, i.e. reading only in amazon formats, then I read posts like this & remember why epub + 3rd party apps are so much better
the only pro seems to be the x-ray facility but having seen that in action on a couple of prime lending loans, I am not over -impressed, it seems to me that it would be tricky to use without getting plot spoilers ( as in so he must die on page 273, cos that's his last appearance )
