Goodreads and the Kindle Voyage

Hello all!

I recently purchased a Kindle Voyage (WiFi only model) at my local Best Buy. This is my first Kindle. So far I'm loving my Voyage. I haven't noticed any of the lighting issues with mine that others are mentioning: maybe I'm just lucky.

Anyway, one of the things that I like about it is its integration with Goodreads. I do seem to have one issue, though. On my Voyage, I have two books that are showing up both in the "read" and "Currently Reading" folders. These are both books I had previously marked as "read" on the Goodreads app on my phone. When I check the Goodreads web site on my computer and the app on my phone, these books only show up in the "read" folder. I've tried marking them "read" on the Voyage, but it still stays in both folders.

OK, I just remembered something. For both of these books I had gone to the Goodreads website and changed them from the default version. One I changed to audiobook and the other I called it out as an ebook. I just changed them both back to the default on the website. Again, everything still shows up OK on the website and the phone app, but on the Voyage I'm showing two copies of each in the "read" folder. It's irritating, but if it can't be fixed I can live with it. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Let me state one thing right up front, I do not have a voyage, however since there is no voyage owners answering your question as yet I will take a stab at the issue in question. I find that the kindle interface to good reads to be rather poor to the point that I use it for viewing my activity on good reads, nothing more. My advice is to go to good reads on a laptop or desk top or tablet and manipulate your account with that. i am not much of a fan of good reads on a kindle.

I agree, I only use the Goodreads on Kindle the same way. I use the previous Goodreads version on my Fire or android for any adjustments. Amazon has yet to deliver the same functionality as the android version of the app. You will spend more time fixing things than actually getting good usage out of it.
