Adding books using Regular Expression!

I'm gonna keep it short. I have a HUGE collection of books, something like 2800 books.

So I'm having trouble on setting the correct metadata to all my books. I'm trying to set it by using a Regular expression on the "add books" section.

So My file names are like this:

SURNAME, initial. Title

Example:
Quote:
BAUMAN, Z. The art of life
Does anyone out there know a RegEx that can get the metadata information correctly? I can't figure it out by myself.

Thanks in advance

(sorry for the bad english, it's not my first language)

I really don't have any idea how, but i managed to make something that appears to work:

Quote:
(?P<author>[^_]+)[.](?P<title>.+)
Can anybody tell me if it is correct? I tested it and it works, but i still didn't found out why.
lol

period is a wild card and usually needs to be escaped \.

IMHO Why worry. It is easy to fix the names without commas (Fn Ln) with the Quality Check PI.

Select those that are wrong: On the QC PI menu: Fix: ..Names
That flips the selected records
Done
