Same Title Different Authors

I have an issue with Calibre version 2.6. I'm trying to add a book with the tile One Summer it is author by both Nora Roberts and David Baldacci.

How do I add a book with the same title but different authors

Doesn't Calibre ask any more if you want to add what it sees as a "duplicate" book? That's what usually happens when I run across the same title/different author issue. I tell it yes and it just adds the book. But I see now I'm still using 2.2, if the latest update has changed things that option might not be available.

To me, Author and Title wold need to be 'close' to be considered a duplicate.

Calibre seems to only check the title and not the author for duplicates when adding books. Am I doing something wrong here or is this a bug in Calibre?

For me at least ’twas ever thus. Not sure how it relates to the automerge feature as I've never used it.

Resolved

Thanks, Brydie

The option is still available. I was misreading the message.

It would be a nice enhancement if Calibre compared the tittle and author to determine duplicates.

Thanks to everyone that replied
