Double Espresso by Anthony Bruno (SYKM) is 2nd in his Loretta Kovacs series of humorous mystery/crime thrillers starring the eponymous former assistant prison warden turned parole violater hunter, free courtesy of publisher Diversion Books, who are e-printing it from its original 1999 Forge edition.

We've previously received the Anthony Award-finalist 1st in series as an official publisher promo freebie, and also via KDP Select back when the author was still self-pubbing his backlist.

Description
In Double Espresso, the second book in the Loretta Kovacs thriller series, Loretta races to keep one hitman from killing another. The intended victim is a valuable government witness against the mob, and a dirty FBI agent is helping the bad guys. Loretta must fend off the advances of an amorous mob boss while babysitting the cantankerous witness in Seattle – Java City – as she desperately struggles to kick her caffeine habit.
