What are you doing until your new Kindle Voyage arrives?
Anticipation is a cruel emotion! How are you passing the time?

Here's what I am doing until my scheduled Tuesday arrival:
-checking the Amazon site to see if my Voyage order list has been updated from pending to shipped.
It hasnt been.
-checking the front patio to see if a clandestine FedEx delivery has left it there.
No such luck. All I see is a walkway that needs to be sweeped.
-walking down the neighborhood to the mailbox to see if its hiding there.
Only thing gained here is the neighbors are starting to stare.
-taking a one-person straw poll to see which book I will download first onto the new Voyage.
So far Grisham's new Gray Mountain is the leader (it is released Tuesday)
-scouring MR for new and interesting thread and news.
There's always something fun here to get into.

Well, time to get my teenage son to grab a broom and sweep the patio, dont want the FedEx guy to slip and fall:-):-)

Update - just minutes after I left my first post the FedEx guy is at my front door. I thought, Sweet Karma! But the delivery was clothing for my wife..

Also, the neighbor lady who lives closest to the mailbox has taken her mean looking dog off the leash and he fills the block with barking when I approach..

At least the patio is clean now...

I spend my days clicking my open order page for the Voyage to see if I've been moved up. Then I go get a beer and go back to clicking my open order page.

Hmmmm... that sounds like a stellar idea. A trip to BB may be in order even now.

Just starting to set up my new 10.5 galaxy tab S, trying to pick a browser right now since bookmarks did not xfer from my old one.

This should keep me busy until the arrival of my Voyage Oct 29.

I'm doing some of that too. I'm also checking the "Your Devices List" (where the kindle devices are listed) to see if the new Kindle Voyage (it's listed there) has been assigned a "Serial Number" yet.
It hasn't.

In a last ditch effort to speed up my receipt of my KV, I tried to change my shipping speed via CS after making certain she understood I didn't want to lose my current place in line. I'm not due to receive it until 10/29. She was wonderful, but couldn't really help except to place a note that I want it as soon as it's available, will happily pay for one day shipping if Amazon finds that pallet of wifi Voyages they have stashed in the back of the warehouse that are reserved for "important people", and can get it to me on release day.

No serial # for mine either. No shipping soon, etc.

ETA - not saying I'm important, but that I'm sure they have some stashed (like Area 51).

Ooh, something finally changed! While my order page still says "Pre-ordered" rather than "Preparing for shipment," things are different when I press "Track Package." It used to (since I ordered it a month ago) say something like "We have recieved your order but have not yet begun preparing it for shipment." Now it says "We are processing your shipment now. We'll send you an e-mail when it has shipped."

Yes, my "Track Package" button is now showing the same thing. Also, my order summary page is saying "Shipping Now", but it's still showing a "Request Cancellation" button (so it can't be all that far along the shipping pathway). No serial # yet.
