![]() ![]() Please, can someone help, I'm very frustrated right now because I might be making this more complicated than it is. Can someone tell me or point me to the thread that can help me create a custom column that can count chapters? I get pages and words. Nothing on chapters. ![]() |

![]() OK What is a 'Chapter' (other than those with the words in the head)? What else do you count as a 'chapter'? Preface, Forward, About Author? And what if the book also has 'Sample Chapters'? What with you like with this can-o-worms ![]() |

Since what I want this for is for Fanfiction ePubs that are created with the FFDL, Each section that gets downloaded. I figured with a chapter column, I could tell which stories are closer to their supposed end when they get updated. At least it would be easier than looking through all the tags to find either the "in-progress" or "Complete" tag.
Even in a normal book, It's easier for me to call all separations "chapters" and count them than deal with word counts. Thanks for asking, though, even if there isn't a way yet. |

There might be a way using FFDL. I'm not sure, but I wouldn't be surprised if chapter count was something available that you could put into a custom column.
For other books, someone could write a plugin to count the entries in the ToC and put it in a column. It wouldn't be that hard to do. |
