Exclamation Calibre has stopped editing my epub
calibre won't let me edit epub. just opens ebook-edit and wants to check for errors. How to I get the Calibre edit function back?

What OS?
What version of Calibre?

BTW that is the way it has always 'opened'.

You have to select a file to work on from the Files Browser (usually on the Left. View: (tick)Files Browser if it is missing)

I had already chosen a file to open, but it wouldn't show me the type or the html panes. Finally Figured it out. Had to make different choices under the "View" menu at top.

There are 2 kinds of Opens
File Open gets the Book loaded
Then there is the section of the book open (usually) on the Left: Labeled File Browser

'View' controls which panes are on the workspace

So to close the problem circle so others may learn.
Which View item fixed your problem?
