General DIscussions under attack

The general discussion forum is under attack with multiple spam messages. I cant mark them all spam as am allowed to mark 1 every 4-5 min

We're aware and zapping them as fast as we can. At the moment only report any that aren't obvious (e.g. spam within a thread rather than starting a new thread).

I think they watch for when the list of online users shows no green (moderator) users and they go crazy.

UPDATE:

Most of these spamming scum-suckers are now gone. I would say about 99%, if I had to guess.

The remaining 1% is a different type of spammer.

The unfortunate truth though (I think) is that there are always more where they came from trying to spread more junk posts. The mods here at MR do an outstanding job of keeping the boards swept clean of it though.
