Was in a Walmart Canada store and they had Sony e readers on for $80. Would you buy one?

It is hard to say without more info. What model was it? A T3? With or without built-in cover?

Yes, which one? there is a Walmart here with a stack of PRS-300 for that price, no way would I buy one of those (unless they marked them to $20).

I bought a PRS 950 and PRS T1.

I wouldn't buy another 950 at this time due to the probably age of the battery.

No front-light and can't root it. So for me, personally, there's no point, even at $80 + tax. Also, I doubt that comes with the cover. But if you need an e-reader, then sure, why not? I believe it will work with the Kobo store. Check prices for the extra addon cover.

I just bought a Sony PRS-T1 for $30 and I'm absolutely thrilled with it so far.

Yep, and I did. Got a refurbed T2 from TigerDirect for $35 w/a 1 yr warranty. Switched over to it from the T1 for just a try out and have been using it ever since. It was a excellent buy!

Me too. I wasn't really in the market for a Sony Reader, but couldn't resist the TigerDirect deal. I'm glad I bought it.
