Free (Kindle/Kobo/ePub) Tamar [New Zealand/South Africa 19thC Historical Saga Novel]

Tamar by Deborah Challinor, a New Zealand-born and New South Wales-resident author and historian, is 1st in her Children of War trilogy of epic historical family saga novels set in New Zealand and South Africa, this one an installment taking place between the NZ colonial settlement period and the Boer War, free courtesy of publisher HarperCollins Australia.

Currently free @ Amazon (available to Canadians & in the UK), Kobo & Google Play (both available to Canadians). Will probably also drop eventually @ B&N (maybe also UK) and iTunes (linked for your pricedrop-check convenience).

I must say, it's been a surprisingly good week for historical freebies. So far we've gotten three quality-looking official major-publisher promo novels and a decent non-fic memoir as well, and this one has even made it across the pond so that more people can enjoy it, hopefully worldwide.

We so rarely get any regularly that a cluster like this is fairly unusual, but much appreciated.

Description
When Tamar Deane is orphaned at 17 in a small Cornish village, she seizes her one chance for a new life and emigrates to New Zealand.

Alone and frightened on the Plymouth Quay she is befriended by an extraordinary woman. Agreed. I feel like we're having a freebie dry spell lately so it's nice to see titles like this being offered.
