Arvale II, how I hate you

What better way to kill time than playing games on your Pocket PC? I have to admit I am not a big gamer, mainly because I don't have the time left to kill. But with Arvale II: Ocean of Time, PDAMill easily knocked off my socks. Yes yes, had I known better before, Arvale II wouldn't be on my PDA now. For the past two nights, I've been killing orcs and ogres with a trusty sword and a silver hammer, while nothing has been more important to me than raising DeMenchev's character level to new unimagined highs. Being all sleep deprived now, I cannot concentrate at work, cannot even find relief in having a lunch break. And my colleagues know better to stay away from me today. So PDAMill, when you'll release Arvale III, don't miss to put a warning label on your game: "Beware, addictive!"

Looks like I'll, probably, be grabbing myself a copy... I never can resist a good RPG.

Is this a sign from game developers that the Palm OS isn't worth developing for? Do they feel like it's a dying platform? (Yes Bobr, we all know that you hope Palm will regain it's former luster, and no I'm not trying to say anything that will upset our community members who work for Palm/PalmSource.)

I have the first Arvale on my Zodiac, and it's a cool game, but will we get a chance to enjoy this new version, too? The first Arvale hit both latforms at the same time, but there's no indication that the second version will be ported to the Palm.

OT: Anyone with any good experience marrying a Windows Mobile PPC with a Mac? <sigh>

Palm OS5 devices will be supported in the near future. Also, if i remember correctly, Arvale I came out for PPC months before the Palm version.

It's good to hope that there's still some hope for the Palm OS, but is it a good sign that the game comes out months before on the PPC? Is it that much easier for developers to code for the PPC? If so, and if I were a developer, that might skew my development cycle towards Windows Mobile, too.

Oh well, it'll be good to waste countless hours away when it comes out on the Palm.
