iPod New iPod touch 6 ???

Will Apple release a new version of the iPod touch 6? It's been two years since that last release (Oct 2012). Sep used to be iPod month, but Apple messed that up by moving iPhones to Sep.

Yes! I would like to see a new iTouch the size of the iPhone6+.

I think they will release something to replace the ipod classic. Maybe a Touch 6 with 128G of storage.

They're waiting for the A7 metal equipped games to come out so they can showcase them on the bigger screen.

You should find out in late October when they traditionally release new iPads and iPods. I think it was around October 23 last year. The iPod touch releases have been fewer and less exciting than the iPhone releases. My guess is that a larger screen model will not arrive until next year, if it arrives at all. If they make them with 128GB it will probably be cost prohibitive though. Good night, did you see the prices of the iPhone 6 and 6 Plus with 128GB?

I'm happy with my iPhone 5 and plan to keep it at least another year.

I don't think pricing will be any different than the iPh 6. The current pricing for the iPt 5 (16GB, 64GB) matches contract pricing for the iPh 6. Based on that, a 128GB iPt 6 should price out at $399.

The unlocked iPhones are outrageously priced. Nearly $1000 for a 128GB iPh 6+

I was definitely referring to the unlocked price. An

for sure! Even the contract price is not what it looks like. Crunch the numbers and in 2 years a contract phone will cost as much as an unlocked one, maybe even more. Don't ever think the big cellular companies are giving you a price break--they aren't. They get the full price out of you by charging the bejeezus out of you for 2 years!

I'm thinking that if they release an iPod touch 5.5" 128GB model it will cost at least $400 if not $500. I'm not sure many people would want to buy it at that price though.

They never include sales taxes, since these taxes vary from state to state and city to city. For example, my state's tax rate is 6.5%, then local communities add another 1 to 3% on top of that. A small handful of states don't have any sales taxes at all.

I'm wondering if Apple will go the other way and have the I watch version? Really when you think of it, what's the difference in size between the iPod6 if there is one, and an iPad mini? Carrying the thing around would have about the same hassle factor.

Many of my students have the Samsung Note3. They use them as phablets, and while I initially questioned phones of that size I am beginning to see their worth. But, they are not convenient to carry around. I have an LG which my daughter gave me. It has a large screen and is a pain to pocket. So I am wondering about a larger sized iPod .... I think the watch size might be the way to go.

Read our wiki article on screen sizes to see exactly how all the screen sizes compare. Note in particular the area in the chart. It can compare screens of different ratios to see the real size of data on the screen.

The Apple watch is not a standalone device. It is a remote display, entry device for an iPhone. Note that Apple is dropping the i designation at the beginning. They are tired of having someone copyright every possible word with an i in the front and having to pay for new names.

Back to the Apple watch. It cannot work by itself, it is tethered to another device and everything you see on the watch came from the larger device. Thus it won't be able to display the output from all apps but only those that are designed to specifically display on the device.
