Free (Kindle/iTunes/ePub) Patriot Act [Australian Journalist Conspiracy Thriller]

Patriot Act by Australian-born author James Phelan (Wikipedia) is a government surveillance conspiracy techno-thriller, 2nd in his Lachlan Fox series starring the intrepid Australian ex-navy operative investigative journalist, free courtesy of publisher Diversion Books, who are reprinting it from the original 2007 Hachette release.

Incidentally, Hachette Australia still has the e-book rights for this in the UK and Australia, as far as I can tell, so this will not be free for actual Australians, unfortunately*.

Currently free @ Amazon, iTunes, & Google Play (all available to Canadians). This will likely show up at B&N and possibly Kobo in the next few days.

The 1st in the series, Fox Hunt, was free in multiple stores for the past week or so before it expired yesterday, but if you missed it, it can still be gotten @ B&N until they update their listings.

Description
When knowledge is power, every bit of information can be a lethal weapon.

September 11th changed everything. The US Patriot Act has given the UK/USA treaty countries free reign to use their echelon surveillance program to monitor every spoken or written word transmitted throughout the world. In the wrong hands it could bring down governments and threaten the safety of millions.

Ex-navy operative and investigative journalist Lachlan Fox has information hinting at the true reach of echelon, and he is starting to suspect someone is ruthlessly trying to access its power.

Can he uncover the answers before the course of history is altered forever?

* Unless you lie like the mission statement of a government surveillance program, that is.
