Calibre 2.0 Extra Columns in Windows 8.1
Attached is a screen grab highlighted to show the problem. I'm running Windows 8.1 and with Calibre 2.0, I'm seeing extra columns or just empty column space. Either way, it adds what looks like blank columns and makes things wider. I hope this is an easy fix that can be fixed for next Friday's release.

That's just weird, you should be able to get rid of them by resizing the column after each blank column.

The blank columns did go away after I reran Calibre, but, I had it happen once before and since they came back, I decided to post about it.

OK, metadata.db is attached. The only thing I don't recall is if the blank columns happened with this library or a different library the first time they appeared.

That I am not sure of, but I will keep an eye out when starting Calibre on this computer and when I do things and see when it happens.

Well, I've made a change that might help, hard to say since this is caused by some internal Qt 5 bug and I cannot reproduce it.

All I know is I've never seen these extra blanks columns prior to running Calibre 2.0.

I'll keep an eye out for what might be causing them and report back if I see them again. One thing I forgot to mention is that the Win 8.1 is 64-bit.

I've just confirmed the extra columns do happen sometimes when switching libraries as it just happened on my Windows 7 system as well.
