Please have some empathy for an old fart ( 75)...

I have two Kindles... An older one ( I think Kindle 2) and an older Kindle Fire.

I just downloaded Calibre and have been given some "ebook" files that I want to load into "either" Kindle.. I have been able to convert the ebook files to "azw3" and pdf files BUT... Calibre seems not to recognize EITHER of my Kindles.

My problem is that on Calibre; I can convert from ebook BUT I don't see either the "azw" for my older Kindle or the "ebok.prc or ebok.mbw" that are the files on my Kndle fire. I do see " azw3" .

I now have about 10 books on Calibre but can't download to either Kindle using Calibre. I just tried again and Calibre " says" it downloaded but Kindle doesn't have the books.

Any suggestions for an old fart?

convert to .mobi format using calibre.
then connect kindle(s) - you can only connect one at a time - and send to device. disconnect & check.
should work

Thank you.... I will try it... Yes; only one at a time... I'm not THAT feeble.

Cybmole: You made my day... The .MOBI format was my salvation. If I wasn't married for 46 years I would probably propose.

Thank you
