I want a new kindle
There was a song by 80s group Huey Lewis called I Want a New Drug. Well, kindle is my drug and I want a new one.

What's wrong with the pw2 I have now? It's fine. I just want a 7in screen, higher dpi, and return of audio, speakers, and TTS, with Ivona voice which Amazon now owns.

I know won't get it, because Anazon wants me to buy the fire, which I will never do out of spite. But I can dream

Buy an Onyx T68 - it has pretty much everything you've asked for: 7" screen (well, 6.8" anyway), higher PPI, audio, and Ivona TTS.

I really like PW2. I like it more than my Kobo Aura. I wonder how both Amazon and Kobo are going to make these products better. Hopefully they will unveil new models soon.

Yes, but it has no speakers. I would have to use headphones or external speakers. Plus, I'm wary about Onyx.

I may end up getting the Onyx anyway, but I want to see what will come down the pipeline first.

Each of us needs to make a judgement of what doe amazon need to get us to upgrade to the newest model. Last year I saw what they added to the Paper white and I did not think that it was worth the cost of the paper white. This year I am considering what they add to the paper white 2 and what they added to the paper white 1, this year they might just do it.
