Question Automatically open last book when powering on.

I have searched all over the place for an answer to this. If it is on the forum it has eluded me and I apologize in advance if this has already been answered.

Is there a simple way I can modify my Kobo Mini to automatically load the last book I was reading when I power on the device?

I noticed that Koreader has this option but I can't seem to find an option to start Koreader on startup (which would then load the book).

I am pretty good with computers and programing so I am not worried about setting this all up. I was just wondering if there was a simple way of adding this feature without installing a bunch of stuff I probably won't ever use.

Ideally I just want the default reader to start automatically when I power on my Kobo Mini (and if possible go directly to sleep afterwards...).

Thank you!

Why are you powering off? Just let it go to sleep and disable the auto power off. That way it is whatever state you left it in. And on the rare occasions that you actually need to power off and on, you probably don't want to auto open the book as you need to see what happened.

Well, I think you can install Kobo Start Menu and modify it so it starts Koreader at boot.

Interesting. How does this affect battery life?

It drains battery a little, of course, but battery lasts very long. Longer than an Android tablet in standby, surely

I usually plug in to often to really tell, but I have gone a couple of weeks of two hours a day reading between charges. And my older Touch has been sitting here in sleep mode since the weekend. It has used less than 10% of the battery in that time. I can't give a more accurate figure because I don't remember if I had fully charged it,
