Problem with Cool Reader app

I have Cool Reader 3.1.2-39, running on Android 4.2.2.

The app appears to work correctly, except when I try to read a book Mobi format. In that case, the app displays the HTML source code rather than the actual text of the book.

Has anyone had any experience with this? Is there a setting that I need to adjust to get it to work, or is it an known bug?

I got the same result with 3.1.2-39 (HTML source). I reverted to Cool Reader version 3.1.2-37 and still go the HTML source on a mobi file. I don't regularly use Cool Reader, so I don't know how long this has been happening on mobi files.

If you do a google search you can still find a copy of the Cool Reader version 3.1.2-34 on the internet, although not on Google Play. If you delete your new -39 version and instal the older -34 you'll find Cool Reader is just fine with Mobi.

I even tried one of the new Cool Reader betas (version 3.3.43) with the new UI and it still displayed HTML source for mobi files. Miki2's suggestion to revert to 3.1.2-34 seems to be the way to go.

Thanks for all your replies, especially Miki2's suggestion, which I will try. I should have mentioned that I don't rely on Cool Reader. I was only trying it out. But it would be nice to get it working. I'll see how I get on with the earlier version.
