Removing all text including and after "-"

Most of my authors column has the name of the author then " - " and then the book title.
The title is already in the Titles column so I just want to remove everything after "-"
could someone tell me how to do this please?

Try searching for: (.*) - .*

Replace with \1

But check if it does what you want; there is no way back

I use the phrase 'Exactly what you want'' as this will kill anything AFTER (and including) the first space hyphen space

A full Library Backup in advance is highly recommended.
