Choosing Kindle version under Converting book

I have a Kindle 4, which is the 2011-12 basic version with a 6" e-ink display. From what I can find, its screen is 800x600 pixels. Looking at Page setup > Output Profiles under Convert Books, the Kindle choices are very different than that in pixel screen size. Is that making a difference in output? Thanks,

Use K2

You can't normally use the full width/height (margins and K type stuff), the driver takes that into account, thus the numbers you see

Thanks. K2? I see Kindle, Kindle DX, Kindle Fire, and Kindle PaperWhite, or are you referring to something else?

I was thinking the Device Output driver:2,3,4,Touch,PW
which is different than K(1) or DX

You are choosing a output 'profile' : use the PW which will fit the usable space. (that profile mostly affects Images), the rest can be configured in Preferences: Conversions (this is the place to make those the Default for all NEW conversions) or individual conversions

Well, I don't see 2,3,4,Touch, PW, but I'm guessing you're suggesting I use PaperWhite. Comparing Kindle vs PaperWhite on a couple of epub conversions, I didn't see any difference.
