All my books have disappeared
Hi

I have a problem with my Kobo Touch, all the books that I have installed through Adobe Digital Editions have disappeared from its library even though when I attach the Kobo to the pc I can see that they are still there.
On top of that I am getting tiles opening up on the home page that just say "downloading" on them.
What am I doing wrong?

That probably means the database on the device has become corrupted. Unless you have recent backup, the fix is to logout on the device and then log in again. This will regenerate the database and reload the books into the database and hence the library.

The books you have sideloaded using ADE might need to be handled differently. You will probably need to reauthorise the device after logging in again. And then you might need to resend the books from ADE.

I've tried that a few times but every time that I think that they are all theer, I switch it off, back on again and they've all gone again.

That should solve it. But, it sounds like something else is happening. I would recommend doing a factory reset. Copy any books from the device that you don't have elsewhere first. Then do the factory reset from the settings.

To add to what davidfor suggested, before doing the factory reset, connect your Touch to your computer and backup the .adobe-digital-editions directory. Once you've done the factory reset, copy the activation.xml file from your backup into the .adobe-digital-editions directory on your Touch. This will save you from having to re-authorize your Touch. BTW, the file is flagged as hidden so you might want to just copy the entire directory back.
