Error communicating with device

calibre portable 1.45 (running on win 8.1 pc) connects wirelessly with calibre companion (running on note 2 kitkat) without any issues. But when I send a book from calibre to companion, it starts sending the book to phone but stops midway with a message "error communicating with the device". Detail says : an existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host.

I dont have this problem with windows 7 on a different pc but on same network and with same phone. Which means calibre companion has no issues.

Please help. I need to transfer many books urgently.

Check out the FAQ for info to review while waiting for a response in this forum.

Also after you experience this error go to Calibre Companion Settings (very end if I recall correctly) and send the debug log to the developer.

Thanks for the help. I disabled my antivirus (windows defender) and reinstalled wifi driver. That helped.
