You might try any of these: Coolreader, FBReader, or Alreader. They are all rated 4.6 on Google play, are easy to use and can be configured, to varying degrees, to the user preferences.

What format(s) are the books? What kinds of features are important?

I mostly use Moon+ Pro and Mantano as readers myself, but there are quite a few good apps out there (PocketBook, Alreader, Coolreader, FB Reader, Aldiko, BlueFire, etc.)

I'm using moon reader but I prefer aldiko. Graphic issue on the tablet forces me away from Aldiko though

I'd recommend Moon+ Pro. Very good reading app indeed. And of course you should use Calibre Companion to manage your library.
