Something seems very strange with the formatting of this book. Huge gaps between paragraphs.

But how does yours look as the original ePub?

I opened it in Sigil and let it do it's auto fix and saved it and it looks okay after that (if you're okay with a blank line between each paragraph). ePub to ePub in Calibre might fix it up too.

Here is the style for most of the paragraphs in the first few chapters:

That should work well.

I just now tried it in ePub. It's a mess! ePub to AZW3 in Calibre must fix it. I did nothing to it but convert.

Tried converting to mobi & azw3. Still horrible, either in Calibre viewer or on my Kindle PW. Is yours a PW1 or PW2?

I converted EPUB to EPUB and EPUB to AZW3 and it only fixed the spacing when I clicked "remove spacing between paragraphs" under Calibre Conversion - Look & Feel. I found two dashes under the Chapter Two heading that shouldn't be there. I haven't managed to get rid of them yet.

Remove spacing has fixed the major problem - although it would have been better to have a single line between paras.
