Question about PW 3g
Hi,
My family and I go camping a lot in areas that have no 3g. I read a ton of fan fiction and sometimes I have to retrieve the stories online because send to kindle does not load the actual story(just the link). I know that the free 3g will connect to the kindle store and cloud drive, but what else will it allow you to do? I did a search on the forum for paperwhite 3g and didn't get the information. Thanks in advance for any help, Penny |

Via 3G, you can only use the Kindle Store, wikipedia, and the translate function. No other browsing. If you are doing the Send to Kindle correctly, it should work. You need to save the fan fiction as a file, then send that file via Send to Kindle.

Send-to-Kindle will charge you for sending over the 3G -- so it's hardly free, at least in that context.

It's not free, but it's very inexpensive: 15c/MB, if I recall correctly. Hardly a major expense.

In fact, downloading from the Cloud tab over 3G is free. So there's a trick: send an e-book to another Kindle reader or app, then it will be visible in the Cloud tab and can be downloaded at no cost.
