In the file structure the name of the books are only saved with latin characters
Hi
I wan't to use the Calibre for organizing mi books. Many of the are in greek. But when I add one, it don't conserve the original name of the book in greek, but change to latin characters. For example, a book with the name: "ειρμολογιον", with be saved with the name: "eirmologion" The same happens with the author. There is a way to configure it? Thanks |

No - the way Calibre stores books in its internal filestore is not under user control.

@jaimesuez - you might want to maintain a library mirror via the Save to Disk facility, it should have folder and files named as they appear in the book list - ie in Greek characters.
This will protect your investment, so should you stop using calibre you'll be left with a set of folders with Author and Book titles in Greek. It would mean you'd have two copies of the format files - but disk space is cheap or you could use cloud storage. Rather than Save to Disk, you could do the mirroring via the Connect to and Send to facilities. I suspect they might be more amenable to some automation because they are aware of what's already there. The Connect to Folder feature has similar functionality as the Connect to Device feature.
