KOBO TOUCH's annoying image cover

hello, can someone help me, with the annoying image cover, I tried loading images that would fit, but still, the annoying white lines on both sides appear with the cover, I can't get a full one, can you help me with this? I'm on the latest firmware 3.0

To me most of my books' covers are useless because can not read title or author on tiny cover images on home page. I could waste my time fixing each cover but Kobo should provide captions with Title and Author on home screen as displayed in library lists. Then covers could be optional not displayed on home screen. They could still keep covers on suggested reading advertisements if they must as those I do not care about and ignore.

If Kobo will not fix this maybe Calibre could auto replace original book covers with only large Author and Title only on each cover.

Do you mean the thin, even, white border on all four sides of the cover image of all books? If so there is nothing you can do about that other than downgrade to an older firmware version*.

But if you mean the thicker white border that appears on just two sides (usually left/right) of the cover image only for some sideloaded books, then the solution is to use Calibre to sideload the books and tick the "send covers" option in the KoboTouch driver configuration. Alternatively you can use the KoboUtilities plugin to replace the covers of books that are already on the device without resending the book.

Note that if you replace a cover for a book that is already on the device, then you might need to turn the device off and back on before the new covers will show up.

* Edit: I have been looking for a patch to remove these borders, so far I have found how to remove the borders on the images used for the library grid view and the home screen tiles, but not from the images used in the library list view or book details page.
